INGREDIENT

100 gram fresh paneer (made from cow’s milk)
1/2 tsp semolina
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp caramelized sugar powder
for sugar syrup: 1/2 cup sugar
2.5 cups water
1 tsp caramelized sugar powder

METHOD
  1. Place paneer on a plate.
  2. Add semolina, caramelized sugar powder, cardamom powder and mix well
  3. Knead the mixture with the heel of your palm, then gather the mixture into a ball and start kneading again
  4. Do this for 4-5 minutes
  5. Make 6 equal sized balls from the dough and keep aside
  6. For syrup heat sugar and water in a large pan
  7. Stir so that the sugar dissolves.
  8. Now bring the mixture to a boil on high flame.
  9. Add caramelized sugar powder.
  10. Drop the rasgullas gently into the sugar solution.
  11. Cover with a lid and let the rasgullas cook on high flame for 20-25 minutes.
  12. You will see they are doubled in size.
  13. Turn off the flame.
  14. Let it cool down completely.
  15. Now pahala sweet is ready to serve.
