Doi Katla


Ingredients
:
  1. Katla fish - 5 peice
  2. Curd -100 grams
  3. Ginger paste - 2 spoon
  4.  Garlic  paste - 1 spoon
  5. Big onion - 2, 1 chopped and 1 made in to pieces
  6. Green chilly paste - 2-3 spoon
  7. Oil - 1/2 cup
  8. Coriander powder - 1/2 spoon
  9. Cumin powder- 1/2 spoon
  10. Garam Masala powder- 1/4 spoon
  11. Cardamom - 1 pod
  12. Cinnamon - 2 peice
  13. Bay eaves - 2 small
  14. Water - 1 cup
  15. Salt as per taste

Instructions :
  • Wash the fish pieces. Pat dry. Marinade with salt. Heat half the oil, fry the pieces and keep aside
    .
  • Heat remaining oil in the same pan. Add bay leaves and cinnamon - cardamom.
  •  When they Release aroma, add chopped onions and fry until they are golden.
  • Now add Ginger, garlic paste and fry for 3-4 mins. Add onion and green chilli paste and saute fir 4-5 mins.
  • Add cud and cashew nuts paste. Cook for 3-4 mins . Add salt.
  • Now add the water and when start boiling add the fish pieces. Cover rhe pan and cook for 7-8 mins or the gravy is thickened.

  • Now sprinkle the garam masala and cover for 1-2 minutes.
  • Your Doi katla is ready, serve it.
